Hey Lovely Human!

Are you struggling with emotions like fear, anxiety, or confusion? Would you love to make peace with them or any other emotion that might be cycling through you on repeat?

It seems so many of us believe that making peace with our emotions means “getting rid of”, “moving past them” or “fixing” them, as though there’s something wrong with them or wrong with us for having them. I certainly thought that for a long time.

However, I now understand that making peace with our emotions is very different from that.

In fact, trying to get rid of or move past them or fix them keeps emotions holding steady because we’re not giving them what they need.

Your emotions have powerful messages to share about what you do and don’t like, want and need.

When you find yourself in similar emotions cycling over and over, instead of taking the approach to eradicate, bypass, or repair your feelings spend a few minutes compassionately…

1) acknowledging them,
2) asking them questions and listening to the answers, and
3) appreciating what they have to offer you.

What do they want you to know about why they’re here?
What is it they’re helping you see that you need right now? What need isn’t being met?
What is within your control to shift right now in order for you to begin to meet the need?

Each emotion wants to be seen, heard and appreciated for what it is has to share you.

They are here FOR you. Let them be.

When you do, you’ll find your way through them and into the experiences you want.

With love,

Kathryn
